Spring Break (and some spring cleaning)!

Ahhh.  The joys of Spring Break.  Getting off from school for a week in this wonderful weather, be at home in your jammys,  go to the park and get together with friends.   In my opinion a very productive week.

We started off this spring break with a half day on Friday and after going home I drove to the local tennis courts and park with my sister.  We stayed there for about 45 minutes playing a VERY mean game of tennis (meaning breaking all the rules and just trying to master a back hand swing).  But none the less we got our exercise in and had fun.  Then we went and swang on the swings trying not to land in the water puddles right beneath us.  After that we packed up and left.  And...I successfully drove home!

The next day being  Saturday:  I got up and had this sudden urge to start cleaning.  I did!  My room is sooo much cleaner.  Though it might not look cleaner, it is.  I cleaned out my chest of draws and organized my closet.  Now,  keeping mind that I am not the best hose keeper and tend to shove things that don't fit me in the back of my draws.  So,  that being said I had LOTS of stuff to get rid of.  Lets just say the living room is now a mess with three loads of folded laundry needed to be sorted out in to give away, keep for Soncie,  keep for next year, and throw away.

It is now Sunday and my successfulness for the day is getting out of bed!

Musical-It's over!!!

If you have been following my past three blogs you will know that I was in a musical put on by the Marion High School drama and choir departments.  You would also know that we worked very hard and it was put on this past Friday and Saturday (the 3rd and 4th of March).

First off let me inform you of what the back stage girls dressing room looks like.  Think of a time when your room was very, very, very, VERY messy.  An example:  you have to make a path to get to your bed or closet.  And when you finally clean your room up you find a total of $20 or a shirt you have been looking for for the past two weeks.  That is what the dressing room is like.  Now, think of about 10 girls in a room the size of a bathroom at Walmart.  And yes, we being teenaged girls we have makeup clothes, jewelery, toiletries and food with us.  Think.  How messy is that?  Very messy.  And this much mess seems to add stress to some people.

I have learned from this musical that many peoples attitude change when they are under stress.  Many girls could not be very caring or not the most friendly but when the musical came along and we were all back in the dressing room,  these people changed.  They were considerate and caring.  But it seemed like the sweetest girls in choir changed from the pressure of stress and were very snappy.  An example:  this girl who is one of the sweetest girls in choir snapped at me for something very minor.  I understand that she was annoyed and yes she did have a part with lines (which is worse with stress).  But I let it go because I know she did not mean it.  Then,  there were those people who didn't change at all.  They either stayed sweet as pie and a very few stayed being their bitter self.

I loved this years musical and miss everybody in it.   I can't wait till next year and I love everybody that took part in it (yes all of you)! <3

And tickets are on sale at the Civic Center or at the door for $10

Musical!

This year the high school choir department will be putting on the musical How to Succeed in Bussiness Without Really Trying.  Yes a very long name that is usually abreviated How to Succeed....
So you are probable wondering what this musical is about? Long story short an inexperienced man works his way up from the mail room to a big possition in a huge world wide company.  He falls in love with a sectratary and the story goes on from there.  The good thing about our new director is she's ORGANIZED and knows exactly whats going on when and where.  You would think this of every director but wrong, I have had very un-organized ones.
Yes, I have a line.  I'm Girl 1 act 2 scene 2 page 94.  And that girl is going to blow the audience away!  This Saturday is the first coriography rehearsal and I have to wear these terrible character shoes that give my feet blisters and make them bleed.  But,  I'll wear them in and hopefully be able to dance in them without breaking an ankle.
I'll keep you updated on how the musical is coming along.  Oh and by the way showings are March 4 and 5.
P.S. Spell check wasn't working and I am a failer at spelling!

Snow day!

Tonight we got a call from the school district saying school will be canceled tomorrow.  Am I happy? Yes in a way and no in another way.  I am happy because now I have more time to study but I am not happy because I don't want to stay later in June.
The call said "due to cold weather school will be canceled".  Really? It's 17oF-not THAT cold.  I say buy a coat and suck it up.  The school does have heat.  This might sound mean and all but I'd  rather go now then in summer!
But on the other hand, snow all you want!  We only have to make up 5 days of all of the days we miss.  So if we're going to get snow. Give us a blizzard! Of course, one you can drive in and one that is safe.  We have a 3 day weekend but that means for me...hit the books on Friday!  I have plenty of tests this coming Monday so I have to study.  BLAH.
This blog is really random blabbering but I decided I should blog on something since the last one was in November of 2010.  This one isn't very inspiring but...oh well.

So...Family

It always takes awhile to come up with a subject to post.  Then finally I thought "family, I'll type about mine".  So here goes.

My family consists of my mom, dad, and my sister.  Then if you want to, you can count in the horses, chickens, cats, dog, rat, and guinea pig.

Yes, we have alot of animals.  The two horses are mainly my moms.  We got them Janurary of 2008.  So through those two years we have had five horses come and go.  At the time being we have Thunder and Snap.  The chickens you could say are my dads.  We all help take care of them but he is the main care taker.  I brought home two chicks in first grade and that was the start of our chicken coop.  Cats.  We have four of them.  Two inside and two barn-cats.  Pookah and Sweetie were both rescue cats that we have lovingly taken in to our homes.  Sweetie was born on our back porch and Pookah was found in a camp site on fathers day.  The other two, McGonagal and Migs we recently got from a friend for our barn.  Just today we found them following two walkers down the road.  I have a feeling they won't be living all of their nine lives.  The rat is mine and the guinea pig belongs to my sister.  Both are very loving animals.

My mom  is a very good person.  She has enough energy to last her a life time and is always there for anybody in need.  Several times she has comforted my friends and most of them call her "mommy".  When she first got her horse she was in the pasture and got on Rio (1. Rio was our horse at the time 2. NEVER ride a horse in their pasture).  I was at a friends house and my dad called and said "your mother is in the hospital, pack up your clothes I'm picking you up".  I heard the words mother and hospital and couldn't breath.  I didn't know that all she broke was her coller bone and that she would be alright.  I thought "OH MY GOSH, is she alright what am I going to do without my Mama?".   My mom is a woman that any human should know and though not everyone can, the people that do know her are very lucky.  I am very blessed to have a mom that I can look up to.

I use to look up at my dad and think "is he like Hulk?".  My dad works hours every week sometimes at home and othertimes out of town to support his family.  I can remember countless times when he would come home and pick me up and swing  me like a "potato sack".  I would giggle till i couldn't breath.  He is the person to turn to when your algebra book broke and it needs to be glued together.  Or when the toilet needs plunging and you're too disgusted to do it your self.  I am also blessed to have a daddy that I can literally look up to.

And last but not at all least, my sister.  She is the reason I am who I am.  Without her I don't know who I would be.  Yeah, so we get in fights and I scream at her more than I should; but she still loves me.  We have secret hand gestures that only we know.  At stores or the mall I am always sure I have and eye on her.  My sister is a person that I COULD NOT live without.

So there you have it.  My family, the goods and well, I didn't list any bads.  But anyway, I love them to the core and I will always need them.

Another- this time pertaining to Queen

So, yes I just posted about 12 minutes ago,  but when a thought comes up I have to blog it.  Right?

This time it's the band Queen.  Did you know that they were from the UK?  They formed as a band in 1971 and signed there first press release in 1973.  Yes,  I know alot.  And I have a habit of quoting them on facebook.

I love them.  I want to travel back in time and meet Freedie Mercury.  But unfortunately he died from AIDs in 1991.  I was -4 years old.  In other words I wasn't born yet.  I have an addiction.  You might see me walking around the house with my iPod plugged in and  it is most likely on Queen or Glee (yes I love Glee music, but I don't watch it).

I have a very good freind and she wasn't aloud to listen to any non-christen music until she was 14.  So one her 13th birthday I gave her money and on the card it said "buy Qu_ _n".  Yeah, so they sing about drugs, partying,  and sexy girls but think about it they aren't singing word after word I'm gonna have a G6.  That is just plain BORING and credit to my mom she helped me recognize that.

Pretty much when I'm plugged in Queen "don't stop me now, cause I'm having a good time, having a good time"
-Don't Stop Me Now 1982

"Queen is a CLASSIC and will never die"-my dad
